L’int\u00e9r\u00eat du BRF sur un sol va bien au del\u00e0 du contenu en nutriments pr\u00e9sent dans ces branches d\u00e9chiquet\u00e9es. Il r\u00e9instaure les processus naturels n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la revitalisation et au maintient de la fertilit\u00e9 d’un sol. Comme les auteurs le pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 travers plusieurs exemples concrets d’utilisation agricole, le BRF ne cesse pas seulement la d\u00e9gradation des sols, mais permet l’aggradation<\/em> de celui-ci.<\/p>\n

Un int\u00e9r\u00eat majeur dans la valorisation du BRF consiste aussi \u00e0 remettre les arbres \u00e0 l’avant sc\u00e8ne lors de l’am\u00e9nagement de tout syst\u00e8me agricole. En effet, leur pr\u00e9sence permet de s’attaquer \u00e0 plusieurs probl\u00e8mes environnementaux, que ce soit la diminution de la biodiversit\u00e9, l’\u00e9puisement et l’\u00e9rosion des sols, l’incidence de la s\u00e9cheresse sur les cultures, la d\u00e9forestation, la d\u00e9sertification, la pollution des nappes et des rivi\u00e8res, l’utilisation d’engrais et de pesticides, etc.<\/p>\n
