In this talk, Stephane Groleau will present an overview of an international movement that promotes plant-based farming and gardening techniques as alternatives to animal-based agriculture. Accompanied with a slideshow, you’ll travel around European and North-American farms and gardens in order to discover the Who, Why, What and Where of this international peaceful ecological movement. Since conventional farms use chemicals that threaten animal life, and organic farms generally use factory-farm waste (i.e. manure, bone-meal) to fertilize their vegetables, the best way to ensure healthy, fresh, local, and vegan food is to grow it ourselves. Stephane will present key points to a veganic approach and explain easy (and less time-consuming) ways to do it.
