“Save Our Wildlife” competition from the Vegan Organic Network

Did you know that if you weighed all the land mammals in the world, only 4% are wildlife?!

That’s right. Humans make up 36% of land mammals, and livestock make up a whopping 60%. We’re facing a biodiversity crisis, and our diets and farming practices are major factors in driving wildlife to the brink. Making the switch to plant-based agriculture can help alleviate pressure on wildlife by using less land and resources, and providing more on-farm habitat.

Would you like to help get this message out? Visit the Vegan Organic Network to learn more. They are holding a competition that’s open to all nationalities to draw attention to the devastating loss of wildlife and the necessity to shift toward plant-based food systems to bolster biodiversity.

There are 3 parts to the competition:

Short video competition: open to all ages, deadline Nov. 1st 2021, videos under 60 seconds.

Art competition: youth groups and home educators: open to ages 3-19, deadline Oct. 31st 2021, wide variety of art forms possible (painting, poetry, video, photography, etc.).

Art competition: schools: open to ages 3-19, deadline Oct. 31st 2021, wide variety of art forms possible (painting, poetry, video, photography, etc.).

We hope you’ll join the competition!
